The Patrouille de France - Acrobatic Legend

Officially founded in 1953, the Patrouille de France is the elite aerobatic team of the French Armée de l'Air et de l'Espace. Based in Salon-de-Provence, its eight Dassault-Breguet Alpha Jets perform millimeter-precision maneuvers at speeds of up to 700 km/h, separated by barely 3 meters between aircraft. Their spectacular diamond, arrow, and heart formations, accompanied by the iconic tricolor smoke trails (blue, white, and red), have captivated millions of spectators in more than 60 countries.

History and Tradition

From its beginnings with the F-84G Thunderjet to the current Alpha Jet (in service since 1981), the Patrouille de France has represented the technical mastery and spirit of French aviation at events such as the July 14th Parade in Paris, the Le Bourget Air Show, and international exhibitions. Each pilot accumulates more than 2,000 flight hours before joining the patrol, where they train intensively to achieve the perfect synchronization that characterizes their performances.

The repertoire includes legendary figures such as the "Tête à Queue" (180° turn), the "Tonneau" (full roll), the "Boucle" (synchronized loop), and the spectacular "Bombe" where the aircraft disperse in all directions from a central point.
